Susmitha Pulipaka is the founder of Royal Little Orchids. She holds an MBA and brings seven years of experience in client, project and account management, skills that underpin the nursery's operations, standards and family partnerships. Alongside this, she has hands-on experience working in a nursery setting and, for the last two years, has served as a location leader in children's church on Sundays.
Royal Little Orchids will be led day-to-day by a fully qualified, experienced Early Years Manager, so that EYFS standards and practice are always in expert hands. Susmitha oversees the vision, values and operations.
The story behind Royal Little Orchids
Royal Little Orchids began with something Susmitha couldn't shake: the belief that the first five years shape the rest of a child's life. “What happens between 0 and 5 echoes through their youth and young adulthood,” she says. “I want children to grow up secure in who they are, knowing they are beautifully made, confident in their gifts, and not confused by the voices the world throws at them.”
That conviction led to two decisions. The first was nature: childhood should stay childhood. “I want children to have sand, mud, plants and wonder, to hold onto those early experiences for as long as possible.” The second was character: the nine Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) are woven into the curriculum, because good character is something every child needs, whatever their family's background. Families of all faiths and none are equally welcome.
Barnet is home: Susmitha has lived in the London Borough of Barnet for the last three years, where she found her community and her family, and Royal Little Orchids is her way of giving back to the place that has given her so much. It exists to give local children roots in truth and wings to lead: secure in their identity, growing in character, and confident in their unique purpose.
