Sick Child & Illness

Healthy children, safe community.

• Keep your child home if unwell - fever, persistent cough, diarrhoea, vomiting
• Exclusion periods follow UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) guidance:
  • Diarrhoea/vomiting: 48 hours after last episode
  • Fever: must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication
• Notify us by 9:00am if your child is absent
• We will contact you promptly if your child becomes unwell at nursery
• We follow strict handwashing and hygiene routines at all times
